Access International School boasts of highly experienced and qualified teaching staff, men and women who employ positive teaching methods adapted as required to meet the needs and age of the pupils.
With Mr. Emmanuel Obatarhe, supervisor, secondary, Mr. Agyei Yaw, headmaster, primary, and Mrs. Funmi Ogurunku, head, nursery section running the affairs, our teachers are at the forefront of efforts aimed at fostering the intellectual and social development of the children during their formative years. Every teaching method is therefore tailored towards determining the future prospects of these children as they combine our modern learning tools with our serene environment for the children to develop into responsible adults
Our magic wand lies in the use of classroom presentations or individual instruction to help the students learn and apply concepts in subjects such as science, mathematics or English. At Access International Schools, our academic staff plan, evaluate, and assign lessons; prepare, administer, and grade tests; listen to oral presentations; and maintain classroom discipline.
They also observe and evaluate a student’s performance and potential and increasingly are asked to use new assessment methods. They then can provide additional assistance in areas in which a student needs help. Teachers also grade papers, prepare report cards, and meet with parents and school staff to discuss a student’s academic progress or personal problems.
Where necessary, two or more teachers work as a team and are jointly responsible for a group of students in at least one subject.
At the end of the day, a child who passes through the four walls of Access International Schools is not only a competent ambassador of this citadel of learning, but stands out a complete man ready to take on the future!
